What is emotional overwhelm ?

I know how it feels to be Overwhelmed by all that we ‘need’ to do. My fight with depression started in 2014 just before Christmas and I’ve started to feel that familiar ‘cloud’ as I call it at moments these past few weeks as my grief surfaces again. I was talking about it in a session with my therapist recently and as I was talking about it I could feel that numbness across my shoulders, so I’ve started writing again to release it and to see what I can learn from it. Now I know this is not for everyone, but for me I know a core value is learning, so because I know this about myself it helps me to act in a way that feels good.

Anyway, I am thinking that maybe you are reading this and thinking that I could be sitting across a table from you speaking directly to you. I am here to tell you it is never too late to take control of your Overwhelm and the negative self-talk and overthinking that hangs out with it.

Try this

  1. What do you do that stresses you out?
  2. Do you organise your week at the weekend?
  3. What helps you relax?
  4. What do you enjoy doing?
  5. What one thing can you do today that would be different?

What do you think of these prompts? I would genuinely love to hear from you

Have a gorgeous day,

Love Jennifer x
